On Monday morning, the body of a man was discovered near the Aami river in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, with his hands and legs tied and his throat slit. Villagers found a sack by the riverbank close to the Semrahwa Baba temple and alerted the police. Upon opening the sack, authorities found the deceased, believed to be around 30 years old, with visible injuries and ropes securing his limbs. Police suspect that the murder took place elsewhere, and the body was later dumped in an effort to conceal the victim's identity and mislead the investigation. A police team, supported by forensic experts, promptly arrived at the scene to gather evidence. Investigators are also examining missing person reports from local villages and police stations to identify the victim. The body has been sent for a post-mortem examination, and SP (North) Gyanendra Nath Prasad stated that further actions will depend on the findings from the post-mortem report and ongoing investigations.
