At the NASCAR Cup Series Go Bowling at The Glen, Hendrick Motorsports faced a significant setback, marking one of its worst performances on a road course in over two decades. None of the team's four drivers finished in the top 20, with Kyle Larson leading the team in 23rd place. Shane van Gisbergen dominated the race, winning by leading 74 laps. This race marked the first time since 2005 at Sonoma Raceway that Hendrick failed to place a car in the top 20 on a road course. William Byron's struggles were particularly notable, as he finished 36th after starting 13th, damaging his car during the race and dropping him to 12th in the standings, only 32 points above the playoff cut line.
