Wipro Hydraulics, a division of Wipro Infrastructure Engineering, announced on Thursday that it has finalized a definitive agreement to acquire 100% of Italy-based Indeco Ind Spa. This strategic move will enable Wipro to broaden its product range beyond hydraulic cylinders to include hydraulic attachments such as hammers and shears, which are essential in the construction, demolition, and recycling industries. Indeco, founded in 1976, operates seven manufacturing facilities in Italy and one in the United States. Wipro Hydraulics President Sitaram Ganeshan emphasized that this acquisition will enhance their value proposition by expanding their manufacturing and distribution capabilities. Despite the full acquisition, the founding Vitulano family will continue to play a role in the company's operations, with CEO Susanna Vitulano expressing confidence that Wipro is the ideal partner for Indeco's growth, particularly in research and development. This acquisition marks a significant step for Wipro Hydraulics as it seeks to strengthen its market position and customer offerings.
