The Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Namo Bharat corridor has achieved a remarkable milestone by crossing 3 crore passenger journeys, just five months after reaching 2 crore trips in December 2025. This rapid growth in ridership follows the full operational launch of the corridor on February 22, 2025, which allows for seamless travel between Delhi and Meerut via Ghaziabad. Daily footfall has surged, with weekday ridership ranging from 90,000 to 114,000 passengers, and around 85,000 on Sundays. The service began operations on a 17-km priority section in October 2023, and by March 2026, the average monthly ridership had reached approximately 27 lakhs. The Namo Bharat corridor has significantly reduced travel time, allowing commuters to cover the distance in about one hour, compared to nearly three hours by road, making it a practical choice for daily travel needs.
