M K Stalin, the president of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, has raised concerns about the stability of the Tamilga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) government led by Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay, suggesting it might not endure beyond three months. This statement was made during an event where former VCK MLA Panaiyur Babu and his supporters joined the DMK. Stalin noted that while he initially refrained from criticizing the new government for six months, the current circumstances may compel him to speak out sooner. He highlighted that criticism of the TVK government is already increasing, questioning its ability to last even three months. Stalin urged new members to support the DMK's activities and cautioned against disparaging their former parties. He also pointed out that the TVK's power is contingent upon the support of the DMK and its allies, calling for a collective effort to end the current administration. The TVK secured 108 seats in the recent elections, falling short of a majority in the 234-member assembly, marking a significant shift in Tamil Nadu's political landscape after decades of DMK and AIADMK dominance.
