Two 15-year-olds from Nova Scotia have pleaded not guilty to charges of sexual assault stemming from hazing incidents within their hockey team. The youths, who were 14 at the time of the alleged offenses, face two counts of sexual assault and one count of sexual assault with a weapon, involving three victims from an incident on October 3, 2025, in Colchester County. One of the teens is also charged with assault related to an attack on one of the victims. The case began when a victim reported the assault on January 30, prompting an investigation by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP). Although four youths were arrested, only the two teens have been charged, and they will appear in court again on June 29 to set a trial date. The Crown attorney noted that having both defendants charged together may lead to a more efficient trial process. Meanwhile, Hockey Nova Scotia has suspended the implicated team during the ongoing investigation.
