In a tragic incident in Doddaballapura taluk, Bengaluru Rural district, India, a 40-year-old woman named Saroja, a guest lecturer, was allegedly murdered by Ramanjinappa, a realtor, who later died by suicide. The two had been in a relationship for nearly a year, but Saroja's refusal to marry Ramanjinappa reportedly led to frequent disputes. On May 2, during a car ride, an argument escalated, resulting in Ramanjinappa allegedly attacking Saroja with a hammer, killing her. He then set the vehicle on fire near Jinkebachchahalli village to destroy evidence. Firefighters discovered Saroja's charred body in the backseat after passers-by reported the burning car. Police traced the vehicle to its owner and analyzed call records, establishing a timeline of events. Ramanjinappa was later found deceased near railway tracks, identified through personal documents, with authorities suspecting he died by suicide while trying to evade capture. A murder and suicide case has been registered, and investigations are ongoing.
