Iran has expressed a willingness to engage in both bilateral and multilateral diplomacy with its regional neighbors, even as it intensifies its rhetoric against the United States and Israel amid ongoing conflicts. Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the Iranian Parliament Speaker, stated that Iran has prepared for confrontation and demonstrated its defensive capabilities. He characterized the current conflict as primarily Israel's war, asserting that the resulting instability has global implications. Ghalibaf justified Iran's targeting of US-linked assets in the region as necessary for maintaining its presence and warned that any escalation would provoke a decisive response against American interests. Additionally, Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi refuted claims from US media regarding Iran's diplomatic stance, reaffirming Tehran's appreciation for Pakistan's efforts and its openness to dialogue. He also highlighted the dangers posed by attacks on critical infrastructure, including the Bushehr nuclear facility, which has reportedly been struck multiple times, raising concerns about regional security.
