Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw inspected the upgraded sample coaches of the Amrit Bharat trains at New Delhi railway station. These coaches are designed to enhance passenger comfort and aesthetics, featuring new colour themes, PVC flooring, and improved facilities like better toilets and charging points. The materials used are compliant with HL3 fire safety standards, ensuring passenger safety while also enhancing visual appeal. Vaishnaw highlighted that the upgrades are part of an initiative to modernize the railway's rolling stock and provide a world-class travel experience for all citizens. He noted that the general coach will offer facilities comparable to premium coaches, reflecting the government's commitment to inclusivity and development. Additionally, he announced plans to enhance security at New Delhi Railway Station with the installation of approximately 1,500 AI cameras and the issuance of identification cards for all employees and vendors.
