On Monday, six individuals were arrested in Manesar, Haryana, India, for allegedly plotting to incite violence during wage protests at the IMT Manesar industrial area. The police revealed that the suspects had no affiliations with any local companies and were acting as external provocateurs. Deputy Commissioner of Police Karan Goyal stated that digital evidence, including WhatsApp conversations, indicated a premeditated plan to escalate the protests into riots, vandalism, and arson. The arrested individuals are Akash Kumar from Rohtak, Harish Chand and Raju Singh from Uttarakhand, Pintu Kumar Yadav from Bihar, Shyambir from Uttar Pradesh, and Ajit Singh from Haryana. All are currently unemployed. The IMT Manesar protests, which began over wage demands, turned violent last Thursday, leading to the arrest of 55 individuals for attacking police and committing arson. Authorities are continuing their investigation to uncover the full extent of the conspiracy and have urged workers to remain vigilant against provocations.
