On Monday, Pakistan's Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Andrabi stated that the country would not comment on reports regarding a proposed framework to end the US-Iran conflict. Despite this, he affirmed that the peace process remains active. Various reports suggest that Pakistan had offered a 45-day ceasefire and a 15-point exchange as part of its peace initiative. Efforts to mediate began last month, with Pakistan nearly hosting officials from the US and Iran, but talks stalled due to rigid positions from both sides. Recently, Pakistan hosted a quadrilateral meeting with foreign ministers from Saudi Arabia, Turkiye, and Egypt in Islamabad, which may have revitalized peace discussions. Following this, a five-point peace plan was issued by Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi. Chief of Defence Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir has been instrumental in these negotiations, maintaining communication with both Iranian and US officials.
