On Saturday, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated the Museum of Heritage and Art in Hussainabad, Lucknow, which spans 4,973 square meters and was completed at a cost of ₹41.43 crore (approximately $5 million USD). The museum showcases the composite culture of Awadh through modern display techniques and features multiple thematic galleries, including 'Mool Dhara' and 'Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb', aimed at providing an immersive experience of the region's historical and cultural traditions. Additionally, a VR gaming arena has been set up to attract younger audiences. Alongside the museum, Singh launched infrastructure projects worth ₹58.27 crore (approximately $7 million USD), which include three community centers in Gomti Nagar, Aishbagh, and Ganeshganj, designed to support community activities. The projects also feature the development of 'Dev Van–Nakshatra Vatika', a green space in Vineet Khand, Gomti Nagar, promoting urban greenery and public amenities. These initiatives are expected to enhance urban infrastructure and position Lucknow as a growing hub for cultural tourism.
