Aaron Finch, the former Australian cricketer, has backed Cameron Green, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) all-rounder, to bat higher in the order despite his struggles this season. Green, who was bought for ₹25.20 crores, has only managed 24 runs in three innings, with his best score being 18. Finch noted that Green appears tentative at the crease, contrasting sharply with his previous performances for the Mumbai Indians (MI) in 2023, where he scored 452 runs at an average of 50.22. Currently suffering from a lower-back injury, Green has not bowled yet for KKR but is reportedly increasing his bowling workload in the nets. His international form has also been disappointing, averaging 19.50 with a top score of 36 this year. Finch suggests that either moving Green up the batting order or giving him a break could help restore his confidence.
