Despite his efforts, Lockport lost 8-7 to Joliet West in nine innings. O’Leary, who began the season on the bench, made a significant impact after a pinch-hit double in his fifth game, earning a starting position and batting fifth in the lineup. His performance was crucial in helping Lockport rally from a 7-4 deficit, with O’Leary's two-out hit in the seventh inning setting up Jack Schiek's game-tying double. Drew Satunas also contributed with two RBIs. The game concluded with Bobby Malinowski hitting the game-winning RBI for Joliet West, marking their first tournament title.
