Asha Bhosle, one of India's most celebrated singers, died on Sunday at the age of 92 due to multi-organ failure. With a remarkable career spanning over eight decades and more than 12,000 songs, Bhosle is remembered for her versatility across various music genres. Veteran actor Mumtaz expressed her sorrow in an interview, revealing that she rushed to the hospital upon hearing of Bhosle's critical condition but was unable to speak with her before she passed away. Mumtaz shared that shortly after she left the hospital, Bhosle's family informed her of the singer's death. Reflecting on their close friendship, Mumtaz recalled their days as neighbors in Walkeshwar, where they would spend time together. The two artists collaborated on iconic songs such as 'Koi Shahri Babu' and 'Duniya Mein Logon Ko.' A viral video from Diwali 2023 showed them dancing together, highlighting their joyful bond. Bhosle had been hospitalized at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai due to extreme exhaustion and a chest infection.
