Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced a strategic initiative to establish the state as India's 'Deep Tech Capital' through the vision of 'Innovate in UP, Scale for the World.' He highlighted the importance of sectors such as artificial intelligence, quantum computing, drone technology, green hydrogen, and cybersecurity. During a recent meeting, Adityanath directed that strong coordination between research institutions and industry be established to ensure the effective implementation of innovations and accelerate employment generation. A detailed presentation by Prof. Manindra Agrawal, director of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, outlined ongoing developments in healthcare technology through the Gangwal School of Medical Sciences and Technology, with plans to commence operations in November. The establishment of a 'UP Deep-Tech Hub' in Noida is also proposed to serve as a central platform for technological development, providing world-class facilities for startups and research institutions. Adityanath emphasized the need for timely execution of all proposed projects, aiming for Uttar Pradesh to emerge as a leader in technological innovation and deep-tech development in India.
