In a commanding performance, the Libby Loggers softball team triumphed over Eureka with a score of 14-2 in a non-conference match on April 3. Maddie Willis was a standout player, hitting two doubles and driving in three runs, including a pivotal RBI double during a four-run first inning. Leah Rusdal also had an impressive game, doubling and scoring three times, while the team amassed a total of 15 hits compared to Eureka's two. The Loggers took control with a seven-run third inning, highlighted by Rossi Baney's two-run triple and additional RBIs from Macy Foss and Dakota Allen. The game ended under the mercy rule after the fourth inning. The pitching duties were shared among Weslee MacDonald, Willis, and Carmen Kohler, who collectively kept Eureka at bay, with Kohler striking out three batters. Libby is set to face Whitefish next on April 7.
