Asha Bhosle, the beloved Indian playback singer, died at the age of 92 due to a cardiac arrest on April 12. Following her passing, her mortal remains were transported to her residence in Mumbai, Maharashtra, where fans and admirers have been paying their respects. Bhosle was a celebrated figure in the Indian music industry, known for her extensive body of work that includes timeless hits like 'Piya Tu Ab To Aaja' and 'Dum Maaro Dum.' Her career, spanning nearly eight decades, saw her sing over 11,000 songs in more than 20 languages, earning her recognition from the Guinness Book of World Records in 2011. She received numerous accolades, including the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2000 and the Padma Vibhushan in 2008. The last rites are scheduled to take place at Shivaji Park in Mumbai on April 13.
