The college basketball transfer portal officially opened on April 7, 2025, with over 1,500 players already declared. Among them are two players from the Dayton Flyers: sophomore guard Bryce Heard and Belgian guard Sean Pouedet, who averaged 5.3 minutes in 14 appearances this past season. Heard's decision to enter the portal was reported last week, while Pouedet's addition to the portal list was confirmed on Tuesday. On the other hand, redshirt sophomore forward Jaiun Simon and sophomore forward Amaël L’Etang have publicly announced their commitment to stay with the Flyers. Freshman guard Jaron McKie, who sat out the previous season due to shoulder surgery, has also decided to remain, although he has not made a public announcement. Three players—junior guard De’Shayne Montgomery, redshirt freshman forward Malcolm Thomas, and freshman forward Damon Friery—have not yet disclosed their intentions regarding the transfer portal.
