The Indian Hills Community College women's golf team clinched their second consecutive championship at the William Penn Statesmen Shootout held at the Edmundson Golf Course in Oskaloosa, Iowa. The team, ranked 10th, posted a total score of 329, defeating Upper Iowa by 12 strokes. Four players from Indian Hills finished in the top 10 among 33 competitors. Head coach Micheal Shedd praised the team's ability to manage the challenging windy conditions, emphasizing their mental resilience and strategic play. Mackenzie Reeves and Jade Blakeley both earned individual medals, scoring 78. Reeves briefly led the tournament late in the round but ultimately finished just one stroke behind the medalist. Blakeley, a sophomore transfer from Southern Indiana, recorded her best career round, showcasing her improved mental game and decision-making. The team will next compete at the Stampede at the Creek in Elkhorn, Nebraska, starting Monday.
