As white smoke billowed from the vehicle, Maggio quickly steered it to the garage area, where flames erupted from underneath. Fortunately, he exited the car safely with help from crew members, including Mark 'Hollywood' Armstrong from JR Motorsports. Maggio reassured fans by giving a thumbs up as safety crews extinguished the flames. He reported feeling fine despite the incident, expressing disappointment over the engine failure that left him in 35th place during his 25th career start in the series. The race was briefly red-flagged to allow for cleanup of the scene.
