The Lexicon Art in Connaught Place, New Delhi, is set to unveil its upcoming exhibition titled 'Dvaita (द्वैत): Dualities' on April 18, 2026, running until May 18, 2026. Curated by Ankon Mitra, the exhibition features 11 artists who explore the philosophical concept of dualism through various mediums, including paintings, sculptures, and installations. The artworks reflect the coexistence of opposites in Indian society, such as wealth and poverty, beauty and decay, and the interplay of different elements like black and white, gold and silver, and heavy and light. Mitra, who has a background in architecture and landscape design, aims to challenge traditional gallery aesthetics by creating a vibrant space that mirrors the complexities of life in India. The exhibition invites viewers to engage with these dualities, ultimately leading to a deeper understanding of Advaita (अद्वैत), or oneness, in the context of diversity and complexity.
