In her upcoming biography, Rute Cardoso, widow of footballer Diogo Jota, shares an emotional account of their last moments together. She reveals that she had messaged him, asking him to call her after stopping driving to show him their wedding video. Tragically, Jota died in a car crash in Spain on July 3, 2022, at the age of 28. He was traveling with his brother in a Lamborghini Huracan when the accident occurred near Zamora. The couple had married just 11 days before the incident after being together for 13 years. The biography, titled ‘Nunca Mais é Muito Tempo’ (“Never Again Is a Long Time”), will be released in Portugal on April 9 and features contributions from prominent football figures such as Jurgen Klopp and Roberto Martinez, celebrating Jota's life and character beyond the sport.
