The Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA) and the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) have signed a memorandum of understanding to establish the Lalitpur Pharma Park in Lalitpur district, Uttar Pradesh, India, as a global export hub. This strategic partnership aims to connect the industrial region of northern India to international markets, enhancing the logistics and competitiveness of pharmaceutical manufacturers. UPSIDA Chief Executive Officer Vijay Kiran Anand emphasized that the collaboration aligns with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's vision to position Uttar Pradesh as a leader in healthcare and pharmaceutical manufacturing. The agreement will utilize the Dadri-Khurja rail link to integrate with the Western and Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridors, creating a robust multi-modal rail network. This network will facilitate efficient transportation of high-value pharmaceutical products to JNPA, which handles about 50% of India's containerized cargo. The partnership aims to streamline export-import trade and improve the ease of doing business in the state, making it more attractive for investments.
