Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed the strict enforcement of labour laws to prioritize the rights, safety, and dignity of workers across the state. This decision comes in response to emerging discontent and protests among workers in various industrial areas. During a high-level review meeting, Adityanath emphasized that every worker should receive fair wages, a safe working environment, and access to essential facilities without any compromise on their rights. He instructed industrial development authorities to establish direct communication with industrial associations and management within 24 hours to address workers' concerns promptly. The Chief Minister also highlighted the importance of timely remuneration and adequate compensation for overtime, along with the provision of safe workplaces, clean drinking water, sanitation, and healthcare services. Furthermore, he called for vigilance against external elements that may incite unrest and issued special instructions to district administrations in key areas, including Gautam Buddh Nagar, Ghaziabad, and Kanpur, to remain proactive in addressing these issues.
