The UAE's Ministry of Defence has launched a new Leadership Competency Assessment model to identify and prepare future leaders from male Emirati high school graduates of the 2025-2026 academic year. This initiative aims to create a specialized training system aligned with national security needs. The program will be rolled out in two stages, starting with a pilot phase from April 13 to 14, 2025, and followed by an official phase from April 15 to 18, 2025. Eligible students will receive SMS notifications to begin assessments remotely using their personal devices. The initiative focuses on developing essential skills such as strategic decision-making, analytical thinking, and leadership qualities among young Emiratis. By investing early in talent, the UAE aims to build a strong national talent base capable of contributing to the military and national security. The Ministry of Defence emphasizes that future protectors of the nation are shaped through a disciplined and structured development process, preparing them to meet the demands of national service and security.
