The company's administrator, Interpath, confirmed that a comprehensive review of the stores' viability will take place if a rescue deal is not secured. Despite the financial turmoil, Quiz will continue trading until at least the end of April. The retailer has experienced declining sales, particularly during the crucial Christmas trading period, and has had to navigate economic pressures such as rising employment costs and changing consumer behavior. In February, Quiz had to lay off 109 employees from its Glasgow head office and distribution center in Bellshill, Lanarkshire. In an effort to boost sales, prices have been slashed by 40% to 70%, and additional stock lines have been introduced. The situation reflects a broader trend of difficulties facing UK high street retailers, as noted by industry experts.
