In a tragic incident in New Delhi, 22-year-old Suraj Kumar, an autorickshaw driver, was stabbed to death on April 5 after he resisted a robbery attempt by five assailants. The attack occurred near Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station, where the suspects had hired his vehicle to Connaught Place. Following the stabbing, the assailants dumped Kumar's body near Shivaji Park bus stand. Police, after analyzing CCTV footage, arrested three suspects from Palwal, Haryana and recovered the stolen autorickshaw and Kumar's mobile phone. Kumar's sister, Shilpi Kumari, expressed her grief, highlighting that he leaves behind a pregnant wife and a one-year-old son. The police are actively searching for the remaining two suspects, who are believed to frequently target commuters at night.
