In a recent development conclave titled ‘Vision Wadakkanchery,’ Sachin Pilot (senior Congress leader) launched a strong critique of both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, asserting that they operate in similar ways. He expressed confidence that the United Democratic Front (UDF) would achieve a massive victory in the upcoming Kerala Assembly elections. Pilot accused both the Union and State governments of corruption, nepotism, and favoritism, stating that government-funded hoardings prominently display only the Chief Minister's image. He further alleged that central agencies, such as the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), are selectively targeting Congress leaders while ignoring cases involving Pinarayi Vijayan, particularly referencing the SNC-Lavalin case. Pilot also criticized the proposed Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Amendment Bill, labeling it an attack on the rights of religious minorities and part of the BJP's hidden agenda. Meanwhile, the UDF candidate, P.N. Vaishakh, outlined a development agenda that includes establishing a health university and addressing human-wildlife conflict through enhanced solar fencing.
