On Tuesday, Indian benchmark indices extended their rally for the fourth consecutive session, with the Nifty rising 155.40 points (0.68%) to close at 23,123.65 and the Sensex advancing 509.73 points (0.69%) to settle at 74,616.58. Analysts like Nagaraj Shetti from HDFC Securities noted a positive underlying trend, suggesting a breakout above the crucial 23,000 level, which indicates a potential bottom reversal pattern. The volatility gauge, India VIX, decreased by 3.03%, ending at 24.70. Despite the positive sentiment, uncertainties from the ongoing Middle East conflict may contribute to market volatility. Rupak De from LKP Securities highlighted that resistance is placed at 23,200, with a decisive move above this level potentially leading to further gains towards 23,500–23,800. In terms of trading activity, V-Mart Retail topped the turnover chart with ₹211 crore, while Vodafone Idea led in volume with 2.98 crore shares traded. Overall, 70 stocks reached their 52-week highs, reflecting strong buying interest, although some large-cap stocks like Dr Reddy’s Laboratories faced selling pressure.
