In a shocking case from Gondikheda Charan village in Dhar district, Madhya Pradesh, Priyanka Purohit (27) has been arrested for allegedly orchestrating the murder of her husband, Devkrishna. Family members revealed that their marriage had been fraught with tension, with Priyanka reportedly belittling Devkrishna and engaging in an affair. The incident was initially reported as a robbery, with Priyanka claiming that intruders killed her husband and stole valuables worth approximately ₹3.5 lakh (around $4,200 USD). However, police investigations revealed inconsistencies in her story, including the recovery of stolen jewelry from within the house and evidence suggesting a targeted attack. Following questioning, Priyanka confessed to her involvement in the murder plot, which was allegedly funded by her lover, Kamlesh. Both have been arrested, and the investigation continues under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
