On Tuesday night, the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) apprehended Shahrukh alias Imran, a suspect linked to a human trafficking and child kidnapping gang, in Hardoi district, Uttar Pradesh, India. He was arrested near Tikoni, close to the Atrauli police station, and had a ₹50,000 reward for his capture. The STF conducted the operation under the supervision of the Agra field unit after receiving specific intelligence regarding his whereabouts. During questioning, Shahrukh disclosed that he had previously worked as a driver and was introduced to the trafficking gang by a woman named Soniya alias Sunita from Delhi. Following police arrests of other gang members, he had been in hiding across various locations, including Delhi and Ghaziabad. Shahrukh has a criminal history with multiple cases registered against him in Sitapur and Hardoi. He has been handed over to local authorities for further legal proceedings, and the STF is continuing its investigation to find other members of the trafficking network.
