At the 135th birth anniversary celebrations of BR Ambedkar in Mandya district, Karnataka, Minister N Cheluvarayaswamy emphasized that education is a powerful tool for fostering an equitable society. He stated that true equality can only be achieved through learning and understanding the nation's history. The minister praised Ambedkar's role in drafting the Indian Constitution, which guarantees security and fundamental rights for all citizens. He urged the youth to view education as more than just a means to employment. The government is actively implementing various programs to promote universal access to education, recognizing it as vital for societal balance. Cheluvarayaswamy noted that the state's 'Five Guarantee' schemes are currently aiding 70% of the population in achieving self-reliance, aligning with Ambedkar's vision. Additionally, MLA P Ravikumar Ganiga announced a ₹2 crore allocation for the completion of Ambedkar Bhavans in the district, reinforcing the importance of constitutional adherence in governance. The event also included the administration of the constitutional preamble and recognition of community achievers.
