In a tragic incident in Hapur district, Uttar Pradesh, six people lost their lives when a speeding truck collided with a bus carrying wedding guests. The accident occurred around 1:30 AM on the Dhaulana-Gulawathi road, about 22 km from Hapur district headquarters. The bus, returning to Dasna in Ghaziabad after a wedding in Bulandshahr, was stationary on the roadside when the truck crashed into it, causing the truck to overturn and crush part of the bus. Local police and rescue teams responded quickly, evacuating passengers trapped inside the wreckage. The deceased have been identified as Yunus (50), Yusuf (55), Akhtar (40), Sonu (25), and Munna (60), all residents of Dasna. The truck driver also died, though his identity is yet to be confirmed. Seven other passengers remain in critical condition and are receiving treatment at local medical facilities. Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the accident, with initial reports suggesting overspeeding and poor visibility as contributing factors.
