The Patiala police have successfully dismantled an inter-state illegal arms supply module, leading to the arrest of four men and the recovery of 10 sophisticated self-loading firearms. Punjab's Director General of Police, Gaurav Yadav, reported that the arrested individuals include Saurabh Kumar from Muzaffarpur, Bihar; Sajan from Sohana in Mohali; and Abhishek and Inderjit Singh from Patiala. Preliminary investigations indicate that the module sourced country-made weapons from Bihar to facilitate criminal activities in Punjab, particularly targeting rival gangs. The police believe the accused were planning to execute targeted killings linked to the notorious Goldy Dhillon network to assert their dominance in the area. The police operation, which involved intelligence gathering and strategic planning, was led by a specialized team under the supervision of senior officers. A case has been registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Arms Act at the Shambu police station.
