On Monday afternoon, a security breach at the Delhi Vidhan Sabha raised alarms when Sarabjit Singh drove a white SUV with a Uttar Pradesh registration number through the VIP entry gate. The incident occurred around 2:05 pm, lasting only five to six minutes. Singh parked near the main building, exited the vehicle carrying a bouquet and garland, and placed them inside the official car of Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta, who was present in his office at the time. After leaving the items, he returned to his SUV and exited the premises. Senior Delhi Police officials, including the Police Commissioner, quickly arrived on the scene, and a bomb disposal squad was deployed, but no explosives were found. A high-level investigation has been initiated to assess security protocols at the assembly, particularly at VIP entry points. Initial reports indicate that Singh may have connections to the farmers' protest, having previously shared supportive posts on social media. The investigation will focus on identifying security lapses and ensuring accountability.
