In his inaugural season with the Blazers, Holiday has made a notable impact by engaging with local schools, participating in holiday events, and supporting the Blazers Boys and Girls Club. Furthermore, he has spent time with patients at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. Joe Cronin, the General Manager of the Trail Blazers, praised Holiday as one of the NBA's best leaders and professionals, highlighting his commitment to social justice and community service. As part of the award, the team will donate $5,000 to a nonprofit organization selected by Holiday, further emphasizing his dedication to supporting underserved communities through initiatives like the JLH Social Impact Fund.
