The Assam State School Education Board announced the results for the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Examination 2026 today, revealing an overall pass percentage of 65.62%, an increase from last year's 63.98%. This year, 4,29,249 candidates appeared for the exams, making it one of the largest state board assessments in India. Among the successful candidates, 85,189 students achieved first division, while 1,50,167 passed in the second division, and 46,345 were placed in the third division. Notably, 3,983 students earned distinction by scoring 510 marks or above, and 13,681 received star marks for scores between 450 and 509. Dima Hasao district led with the highest pass percentage at 88.23%, followed by Sivasagar district at 84.08%. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma congratulated the successful students and encouraged those who did not meet their expectations to persevere. Students can check their results online using their roll numbers on the official website and other designated portals.
