Rajpal Yadav recently recounted a significant misunderstanding that cost him a role in the film Om Shanti Om, which starred Shah Rukh Khan. While promoting his upcoming film Bhooth Bangla, Yadav shared that he learned about the mix-up during the production of Billu Barber. He was informed by a crew member that Shah Rukh Khan had wanted to collaborate with him on a larger role, having enjoyed their previous work together in Kal Ho Naa Ho. However, Yadav was unaware that he had allegedly declined the role due to a supposed time constraint. Upon checking with his manager, he found that neither of them had any knowledge of such a refusal, suggesting that misinformation had circulated. Despite the setback, Yadav emphasized that the misunderstanding did not harm his relationship with Khan, as they later resolved the issue amicably. Om Shanti Om, directed by Farah Khan, went on to achieve significant success, grossing ₹148 crore worldwide against a budget of ₹38 crore. Yadav is now looking forward to the release of Bhooth Bangla, a horror-comedy set to hit theaters on April 17.
