Ramakrishnan (convener of the Left Democratic Front, LDF) is optimistic about the LDF's chances in the 2026 Kerala Assembly elections, asserting that the Pinarayi Vijayan-led government will secure another term based on its 10-year track record of development and social welfare initiatives. He criticized the United Democratic Front (UDF) for allegedly spreading misinformation to mislead voters and create divisions. Ramakrishnan emphasized the LDF's commitment to eradicating extreme poverty and increasing women's employment, aiming for 50% job participation among women. He addressed concerns regarding anti-incumbency sentiment, stating that feedback from constituents showed no such feelings. Instead, he attributed the LDF's setbacks in local body polls to local disputes and emphasized that the party has consistently supported minority and backward communities. Ramakrishnan also mentioned that any allegations against his campaign will be thoroughly investigated, asserting that the LDF's campaign remains focused on development and communal harmony.
