Netflix has unveiled the first trailer for One Piece Season 3, titled The Battle of Alabasta, which is set to premiere in 2027. This season shifts the narrative to the desert kingdom of Alabasta, where Monkey D. Luffy and his crew become embroiled in a national crisis as Princess Vivi's homeland faces a rebellion. The chaos is orchestrated by Sir Crocodile, a powerful Warlord of the Sea, through his criminal organization, Baroque Works. The Straw Hat crew must navigate a politically charged environment filled with shifting loyalties to protect Vivi and prevent the kingdom from collapsing. This season will adapt the iconic Alabasta arc from Eiichiro Oda's manga, covering about 63 chapters across eight episodes, making it one of the most extensive adaptations to date. Several fan-favorite characters will be introduced, including Bon Clay and Portgas D. Ace, alongside returning cast members. Production for the season commenced in November 2025 in Cape Town, South Africa, following Netflix's early greenlight of the project, indicating confidence in the live-action series.
