The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has commenced the allotment of land plots to electronics manufacturing companies near the Noida International Airport in Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, India. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to develop an electronics manufacturing cluster (EMC) in the region. Companies such as Havells India, which has been allotted 50 acres for a consumer goods manufacturing unit, and Ascent K Circuit, which received 16 acres for printed circuit board production, are expected to invest a combined total of over ₹3,800 crore (approximately $460 million USD). Additionally, the area has attracted investment commitments totaling nearly ₹30,000 crore ($3.6 billion USD) across various sectors, including semiconductors and medical devices. The project is anticipated to generate about 15,000 jobs and is supported by improved connectivity through major expressways. The Indian government has previously approved the ₹417-crore EMC 2.0 project, aimed at bolstering domestic manufacturing and employment opportunities.
