She had set out for a trek with a group but lost her way on April 2. Despite having only a 500 ml bottle of water and no mobile connectivity, Sharanya remained calm throughout her experience, stating, “I did not feel scared.” A search operation was initiated promptly after she failed to return, involving nine teams, including forest officials and local communities. Karnataka's Forest Minister Eshwar Khandre praised her bravery and confirmed that she was in good health upon rescue. Authorities plan to escort her back home safely to Kerala.
