Supriya Sule, the working president of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), has emerged as the wealthiest member of the Pawar family, boasting assets of ₹167 crore (approximately $20 million USD). This figure is nearly three times that of her father, Sharad Pawar, who has ₹61 crore (around $7.3 million USD) in assets, placing him third in the family wealth ranking. Maharashtra's Deputy Chief Minister, Sunetra Pawar, ranks second with assets of ₹122 crore (approximately $14.7 million USD). These figures were revealed during the nomination process for the Baramati by-poll, which is seen as a critical test of the Pawar family's political legacy. The election will take place on April 23, with results announced on May 4. Sunetra Pawar has expressed her commitment to the development of Baramati, stating that every citizen is part of her family. The constituency, a traditional stronghold for the Pawar family, is now facing a direct contest against Congress candidate Akash More, following her recent loss to Supriya Sule in the Lok Sabha elections.
