The Noida authority has announced plans to develop a Centre of Excellence at Gautam Buddha University (GBU) in Greater Noida, India, aimed at advancing research in semiconductors and stem cells. Krishna Karunesh, CEO of the Noida authority, stated that the initiative will be finalized in the upcoming board meeting, with the goal of enhancing the university's research capabilities and establishing Noida as a hub for high-end scientific development. Semiconductors play a crucial role in manufacturing components for various technologies, while stem cells are vital in medical treatments such as leukemia. The Noida authority has supported GBU since its establishment in 2002 and will fund this new project. Additionally, the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority is developing semiconductor parks to attract both global and domestic companies. The Noida authority is also set to discuss a mixed land use property scheme and plans to increase land rates and budget allocations in the upcoming meeting.
