Humayun Kabir, a former leader of the Trinamool Congress (TMC), has labeled a viral video as 'AI-generated' after it surfaced, suggesting he is in league with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to manipulate Muslim votes ahead of the assembly elections in West Bengal. The video, which the TMC claims is a sting operation, allegedly shows Kabir discussing a Rs 1,000 crore deal with the BJP to divert minority votes away from the TMC, thereby aiding the BJP's electoral efforts. In the nearly 20-minute footage, Kabir is purportedly recorded discussing his strategy to mislead Muslim voters by invoking sensitive religious issues, specifically the Babri Masjid, as a tactic to gain electoral advantage. He reportedly expresses a desire to become deputy chief minister if the BJP wins. Kabir, who was suspended from the TMC last year, has since formed the Aam Janata Unnayan Party to contest the elections in collaboration with the All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM) led by Asaduddin Owaisi.
