The region is crucial for L&T, contributing over 35% of its revenue and 37% of its ₹7.33 trillion order backlog. Despite ongoing geopolitical tensions, L&T reports that 95% of its project sites in West Asia remain operational, with only 5% experiencing temporary pauses. Subramanian Sarma, L&T's deputy managing director, noted that while logistical issues could impact revenue in the future, there are currently no immediate effects on the company's topline. Analysts at JM Financial Institutional Securities have expressed concerns about the potential for raw material shortages due to the West Asia crisis but maintain a positive long-term outlook for L&T's business in the region.
