Trade between the two nations is significant, valued at nearly $48 billion in 2024-25, with Singapore being a key supplier of refined fuels to Australia, including 55% of its petrol and 22% of its jet fuel. The ongoing conflicts in the Middle East have raised concerns about potential shortfalls in fuel supplies, prompting Australia to leverage its natural gas and coal exports to ensure continued oil imports.
