Eastern Washington University (EWU) has announced its 2026 Hall of Fame class, which will feature Erik Meyer and Eric Kimble, both All-American football players from the 2004 team. Meyer, who played from 2001 to 2005, is notable for being the first EWU player to win the prestigious Walter Payton Award, awarded to the top player in NCAA Division I-AA (now known as the Football Championship Subdivision). He finished his college career with 10,261 passing yards, 84 touchdowns, and only 17 interceptions. Kimble, who also played from 2001 to 2005, was a unanimous All-American and set the Big Sky career receiving yards record with 4,140 yards. The 2004 football team, under coach Paul Wulff, achieved a 9-4 record and was ranked eighth in I-AA, marking a significant season for the program.
