Despite the legal issues, an independent arbitrator ruled that the NBA could not withhold his $26.6 million salary, which was released to him after being held in escrow. The Heat acquired Rozier in January 2024, unaware of the gambling investigation, which later led to the Hornets returning a second-round pick to settle the matter. With a record of 41-39, Miami is currently the No. 10 seed and is focused on securing a win in the Play-In tournament. Rozier's next court date is set for April 27.
